Johnny Cash "Devils Right Hand" Engraved COMPACT 1911 grips

$80.00

Johnny Cash once sang that "the pistol is the devil's right hand". Well, it seemed appropriate to immortalize those words on some grips. These COMPACT 1911 grips, made from Cherry and stained GUNSTOCK RED, feature the text "The Devils Right Hand" arched over the top screw hole, a stylized picture of Johnny Cash below his signature, with a custom musical note patterning around the bottom screw holes, and along the back/bottom.

I think the man in black would approve!

They are finished with 5 coats of lacquer for great looks and a very durable finish.

Upon completion, they will be test fit on multiple similar COMPACT (2 11/16" inch, on center, grip screw spacing) 1911s, however, due to some firearm manufacture discrepancies, a small amount of end-user fitting may be required. If you need them cut for an AMBIDEXTROUS safety, or for a BOBTAIL, please leave a comment in the NOTES section of the order.

If you would like this style in a different wood, or for a FULL SIZE 1911, or for a different gun altogether, or customized in some way, let me know, and we can work out details. Just click the Request a Custom Order button...

You can also now get a matching pocket knife, or fixed blade knife to match your custom RAVENWOODGRIPS gun grips.

Payments

Payment is pretty easy through Etsy, so this is straight forward. If we work together on an idea, I'd be more than happy to create a private listing for you. Custom work, once agreed upon, will require payment before physical work can begin. Most items take about 2 weeks to make, although some of the bigger and more elaborate products can take up to a month. If you are unsure, or want an estimate on production times, send me a message and I can let you know!!!

Shipping from United States

I ship almost exclusively through USPS, although occasionally use UPS for larger or more delicate items. I always include the insurance on items to make sure that if your item is damaged in transit, we are both covered (since the items offered are one of a kind, and hand made, I don't have the option to just grab another off the shelf to send.)

Returns & Exchanges

I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

Returns and exchange details

These items are all made to order, and details will be worked out exactly before work begins. Once work has begun, changes cannot be made (again, handmade so pretty impossible to un-cut wood). If something is damaged or lost in shipping, that is what the shipping insurance if for. Almost all items are wood, so excessive duress can and will break them. Also, wood has many variations in regards to color, grain, and appearance, so yours will NOT look exactly like examples, however, I will do my best to make them as close as possible. I advise you to treat them as precious custom heirloom quality pieces. If something does happen, I can advise on repairs, but considering the nature of these items, returns, and refunds, for broken items is not possible. If you order something, and it doesn't work, because you didn't read the description (ie. You order full size grips, but you own a compact gun) no returns will be accepted. If you have questions whether something will work, please ask. Custom designed items cannot be canceled or refunded once work has begun.

Additional

Most of my items are wood. There are, of course, some variances between different pieces of wood, even within the same board. I will always try my best to make the best looking piece for my customer. Sometimes I will search out a board with almost no grain, or a piece with a lot of grain. I will often design specifically with the grain in mind. That being said, yours will not look exactly like the pictured items. It will however, be amazing. When referencing grips, I will use many terms. Most are industry standard, however, if you are unsure, please feel free to send me a message. For instance, 1911 compact grips are 2 11/16" from the center of the top grip screw to the center of the bottom grip screw, and 1911 full size is 3 1/16" center of screw to center of screw. Ambi is short for ambidextrous safety. Magwell means your gun has a flared magazine well.
